We believe the product we’ve built and our vision for the future go beyond GoAnimate, so we changed our brand to reflect this. We believe the future is video, and Vyond is the future of video.

Nope! We’re still the same team and we’re still focused on giving you the best video creation software on the planet.

So, what’s changing exactly?

Glad you asked. We’re upgrading our product in three ways: performance, security, and support. With performance, we’re expanding our features with enterprise-specific tools, improved workflows, and rebuilding our video maker (now called Vyond Studio) with HTML5-based software. With security, we’re committing ourselves to the highest security standards and data privacy protection for our subscribers worldwide. With support, on top of the exceptional service you know and love, we’re offering our Vyond Accel program for enterprise organizations, growing our community, and expanding our already extensive library of resources.

What will happen to my GoAnimate account?

Nothing! Depending on when you signed up for a GoAnimate subscription, you will be presented with our legacy video maker or our new video maker (Vyond Studio) as your default video maker. However, our new brand name has resulted in a change to our domain name, which affects our email address, website, and product. Depending on your company’s use of firewalls, your IT department may have to update your organization’s whitelist to access the new website. Contact us if you need some help with that or have any questions about your account.

I’m not a business — can I still use Vyond?

Absolutely! You don’t have to work for a big company or be a professional producer to make high-quality video with Vyond. We have plans for everyone, from personal to enterprise. Check out our plans here.

What happened to GoAnimate for Schools?

GoAnimate for Schools was built on older technology (Flash) that will no longer be supported by all major browsers beginning in 2020, and is likely to become less stable as it approaches that date. Declining support for Flash may also pose a security risk, one we are uncomfortable with given the young age of GoAnimate for Schools student users. We are no longer selling subscriptions to GoAnimate for Schools, and on June 30, 2019, we will cease support and services for the product. Why do all this for video?

The way we communicate and learn is changing — and fast. Video is rapidly becoming the everyday norm — table stakes for generating engagement — whether training teams internally or building a brand externally. Having the capability to create high-quality video quickly and easily is essential.

What are you doing to protect data and privacy?

A LOT. We take security very seriously, which is partly why we’ve rebuilt our product. We’re in the process of becoming ISO 27001-certified and we will be GDPR-compliant when the regulation takes effect on May 25, 2018. Data privacy at Vyond is table stakes, and you can be confident that we will handle your payments, passwords, and account information privately and securely. For more, check out our Security page.
